Volunteers NEEDED - Community Thanksgiving Dinner 2026

Meet at 443 Oak Street. Load cars with all items to transport to Community Center. Drive to Community Center to unload everything and start set-up.

Set-up tables, linens, buffet, chairs, pie room, kitchen, decorations, first placemats and silverware, & preset drink station. 

We need you to help us:

1. Complete dining room set-up
2. Set up drink station, buffet, transport food
3. Post signage
4. Lift, carry, move, organize

You will be organizing a group of volunteers, helping with shift change, signing in volunteers, giving directions, answering questions. 

1. Lead for Donations/Check-in/Pie Room
2. Lead for Dining Room/Trash/Drink Station
3. Lead for Kitchen and food servers

Packing and organizing 30-40 to-go meals for SOAR distribution. Meals will leave the community center at 11:30 am.

This job involves setting up placemats, table decorations, and garbage/recycling/compost stations. 

We need you to help us ...

3. Collect food donations from donor vehicles'
4. Take food donations to the kitchen 
5. Assist with Meals on Wheels organizing

Your job is to support the kitchen, wash and dry containers and kitchen utensils/equipment as needed to keep things clean throughout the shift.

Your job will be to set-up and monitor the food line and replenish the chaffing dishes for servers. Communicate with the kitchen when items need to be replaced.

This shift volunteers at the buffet line to greet community members and serve food!  Please keep track of time, leave when your shift ends and communicate with the incoming volunteer about expectations. This is a very popular volunteer opportunity and we want to keep everything flowing smoothly.

We need you to help us cut and serve pie! You will work in the pie room and ensure the pie table in the dining room remains stocked.

This job involves cleaning tables and room. You are also responsible for setting out placemats and silverware between diners.

Fill coffee, lemonade, hot water, condiments, cups

Help empty bins to outside trash, replace bags, clean tables, clean-up spills and answer questions about zero waste stations.

Take final cut pies to dining room, serve pie, and help clean-up pie room.

Your job is to wash and dry containers and kitchen utensils/equipment. Help clean and put away items in the kitchen, get ready for closing the dinner line. 

Your job will be to monitor the garbage/compost and take full bags to the cans outside. Help community members understand zero waste stations, get items in the correct spot. Help clear tables of trash, and make sure food goes into the compost bin.
